My pregnancy was pretty easy, no morning sickness. It got rough, though when I realized how much weight that I was gaining...40lbs the first 5 months. That's when I found out that I had gestational diabetes. I had to start seeing the specialist 3 times a week for NST's(non-stress tests) Well, the little booger was rolling over on his cord about once a week the last couple of months, so I was constantly being sent to the hospital for observation. Nothing ever came of it, though, thank goodness. They put me on a pretty strict diet, so I only gained 7-8 lbs the last few months, which was great. All that I wanted was a darn glazed donut, though. Oh well, I survived.
I went to the hospital a few times near the end. I wasn't drinking enough water(imagine that) and kept gettin dehydrated and needing fluids.
They scheduled me to deliver 8 days early. Then, early in the morning(1AM) the day before I was supposed to deliver, I started having contractions. They continued for hours, and about 4AM I went to go pee and thought that my water had broken. I woke Billy up and told him that it was time to get to the hospital. When I got there and they checked me, they said that it wasn't my water, but must've been my mucous plug. Lovely. Well, thank goodness, they decided to keep me and induce me anyway. They induced me and I started progressing. Early afternoon, I was ready for an epidural. They asked if I wanted something that would help with the pain while I was waiting on the epidural. They ended up giving me Stadol(sp?) It instantly made me stupid. I tried to say something to Marjorie just as they were putting the medication into my IV, and it came out, like just strange sounds instead of words. This was terribly upsetting to me. Pretty soon after they gave me that medication, Jesse's heartrate decreased, and they wanted to put the little monitor into the top of his head. My brain was so foggy at that point(from the Stadol) that there was no way that I could agree to it. I let Billy decide, and they went ahead and did it. Things went smoothly, in spite of me being REALLY FOGGY for the entire birth, I think that I pushed for around 20 minutes...really foggy, so I'm not positive about that. He came into the world at 7lbs 7oz and 19½ inches long. The specialist had really scared me to bad the last few months about his weight(they kept telling me he would be around 9½lbs(due to the diabetes) so I was pretty shocked that he was so small, but thankful!!!

Ugh, ear ache
Well, Jesse was taking a bath tonight(one of his very favorite things to do) and was laying down in the bathtub. I remember loving to do that as a kid, so I thought it was super cute that he seemed to like it too. Not even thinking about his ear tubes(got those March 2009). Well, as soon as he lifted his head out of the water, he complained that it hurt....yuck.
Well it's now 130 in the morning, and he just woke up complaining that it hurts. Guess we will be heading to see Dr. Romeu again tomorrow. I feel like we have been there once a week lately....eek, just a taste of what's to come, I guess with 2 little ones now. It is SOOO hard to take them anywhere at this point, it's got to get easier......I sure hope so anyway.

Gracie's shower
Cami and Trisha held an "after baby"shower for Gracie and me. It was Saturday, January 30. Sandi(from highschool) was there, Mrs. Jeannie(Cami's mom) Laura, Cecilia, and Christy(from Cami's church) Ivy(of course) Carie Gatlin(Jacob and Bryce's mom) Becky(met her through Trisha).
It was really nice, and we got some great gifts: diaper bag, lots of diapers and wipes, a crocheted blanket(I love those) a sound machine to hopefully help this little girl sleep, lots of really cute clothes, her first teddy bear, and a sunshade for her side of the car.
The first gift bag that I opened was Carie's and had super cute clothes in it. When I held up the first one(strawberry on the butt), everyone said, AWWWW. Well, then Jesse felt like he needed in on the gift opening. So, he startes pulling out all of the tissue paper. As soon as he started pulling out gifts, I think the first thing was a pack of socks, he said, "AWWWW" It was TOOO cute and he continued to say it to everything he pulled out, even diapers and wipes. It was soo sweet.
Cami made meatballs, beer bread, lots of yummy dips, a cheese and veggie platter, and some yummy coffee punch. Trisha made some really cute cupcakes(Jesse's 2nd favorite thing, next to the tiny candy paci's)

New to this
This is my first blog post, I have never done this before. I wanted to start blogging to record things that the kids are doing. There are so many details about Justin and Austin that I don't remember, and it really bothers me. I figured that this would be a great way to record things that happen daily, and I can even include pictures as soon as I figure out that part of it.
First thing that I wanted to record was something really funny that Jesse said the other day. Jesse and I were in the living room watching TV and Gracie was sleeping on my bed. She started to cry and he said, "Um, I hear sumpin"(Jesse language) I asked him what it was, and he said, "It's baby sisser,(again, Jesse Language)she's calling for help. I said, "Really??!!" and he said, "Yes, let's go save her"
TOO CUTE
